On April 16th, the Joint Management Committee Meeting for SWUFE (China)-Sapienza (Italy) Double Degree Ph.D. in Finance Program organized by SWUFE and Sapienza was grandly held in Room 1211 of the Gezhi Building in 2024. The purpose of this meeting is to have in-depth exchanges and deployments on the progress of the project, key work arrangements, the first doctoral training program, and course details.

The relevant responsible persons and important members of the joint management committee of SWUFE (China)-Sapienza (Italy) Double Degree Ph.D. in Finance Program attended this meeting. The attendees of Sapienza University of Rome include Professor Rita Laura D'Ecclesia, Deputy Director of the Joint Project Management Committee, Professor Roy Cerqueti, Professor Pierluigi Montalbano, Professor Rosella Castellano, and Professor Gabriella Piscopo. The attendees of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics include Professor Dong Yan, member of the Project Joint Management Committee and Executive Vice Dean of RIEM, Huang Wen, member of the Project Joint Management Committee and Secretary of the Party Committee of RIEM, Professor Huang Lin, member of the Project Joint Management Committee and Vice Dean of RIEM, as well as Jiang Jianhua, Deputy Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department of SWUFE.

At the meeting, Professor Dong Yan introduced the current progress of the project to the attendees, focusing on the achievements and challenges of the project in teaching, research, scholarships, and other aspects. Professor Rita Laura D'Ecclesia shared the relevant situation of Sapienza University of Rome. Both parties had in-depth exchanges and discussions on the project content, particularly focusing on the detailed deployment of key work for the 2024 project, including specific arrangements and plans for project courses, important time nodes, etc. Ultimately, consensus was reached on various issues.
