On November 20th, Professor James Rockey, Director of the Department of Economics at the University of Birmingham, Associate Professor Joseph Bromfield, and Professor David Dickinson visited RIEM. They had cordial talks with Professor Dong Yan, Executive Vice Dean, Professor Huang Lin, and Professor Zhang Dayong, Head of OSEC.
Professor Dong Yan first warmly welcomed the visit of the Department of Economics. Our cooperation with the Department of Economics at the University of Birmingham in the UK can be traced back to 2008. During this period, we gradually expanded our cooperation methods and achieved good results. We look forward to further expanding and deepening our cooperation.
Professor James Rockey thanked RIEM for the invitation and further introduced the new initiatives of the Department of Economics in research and teaching in recent years. He stated that our talent cultivation approach is very inspiring and looks forward to further cooperation with our institution. We also welcome our teachers to visit the University of Birmingham for exchange visits, and students to exchange studies at the University of Birmingham.
Subsequently, both sides had a heated discussion on talent cultivation and cooperation methods in the new context.
