The global landscape is undergoing rapid and profound transformation, giving rise to a new paradigm of openness. Against this backdrop, Research Institute of Economics and Management (RIEM) at Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE) will host the International Symposium on High-Quality Development in a New Era of Opening-Up in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China, from July 3 to 5, 2026. The symposium aims to foster in-depth discussions on the pathways and strategies for achieving high-quality development under these evolving conditions, and to bring together diverse perspectives from around the world.
The symposium coincides with the 20th anniversary of the founding of RIEM. Over two decades of dedicated effort, the Institute has remained rooted in China while engaging with the world, committed to excellence in economics and management research and talent development. On this special occasion, we cordially invite scholars and early‑career researchers from around the globe to gather in Chengdu. Through global perspectives and cutting‑edge insights, we aim to contribute academic vitality and intellectual support to China’s modernization and national development strategies, jointly advancing the discourse on high‑quality development.

II. Submission Guidelines
Please submit your paper (title and abstract) to riem_2026@163.com by May 31, 2026. Acceptance notifications will be sent by June 10, 2026.
In the submission email and the attached paper file, please name the file as “Institution – Author Name – Paper Title”. Provide the names and affiliations of all authors, the name and contact number of the presenting author, and clearly indicate the topic under which you wish your paper to be considered.
No registration fee will be charged. Participants are expected to cover their own travel and accommodation expenses.
