Founded in 1303, Sapienza is the oldest university in Rome and the largest in Europe. Its mission is to contribute to the development of a knowledge society through research, excellence, quality education, and international cooperation. In figures, Sapienza has 700 years of history with more than 100,000 students, 2,000 professors, 7,000 lecturers, 3,000 employees, technicians, librarians, and administrative staff in university hospitals.

The world's most important university rankings place Sapienza at the national top for research quality, education, and international dimension; moreover, Sapienza excels and serves as a benchmark in many subject areas.

Sapienza currently offers over 290 degree programs (Bachelor's and Master's), among which over 60 are taught in English; 200 Advanced Professional Courses; over 80 PhD programs; and 80 specialization schools. The School of Advanced Studies provides a program of excellence and free tuition for the best students. Students with an Italian high school score of 100 are exempt from enrolment fees, and the bonus is extended if they keep up their good grades. Families who have more than one child enrolled at the university also enjoy a special brothers-sisters bonus. Enrollment is free for students whose ISEE does not exceed 24,000 euros, and there are reductions for students whose ISEE does not exceed 40,000 euros. University services include 48 libraries (four with 24-hour reading rooms), 18 museums, the Ciao and Hello Orientation Offices, a Sort – Orientation and Tutoring Office in each faculty, a Disabled Students Office, the Job Soul Placement Office, and a Public Relations Office.

Southwestern University of Finance and Economics

China

Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE) is located in Chengdu, an ancient and modern City, with a history of over 3,000 years and the Fourth-largest aviation hub in China.

Since its inception as Kwang Hua University in 1925, SWUFE has been a witness to China's economic progress and made due contribution to China's economic miracle. For decades, SWUFE has nurtured an array of outstanding leaders in the financial sector and various industries among its 200,000 alumni. Many of SWUFE's alumni are found among the top leadership in organizations like China Securities Regulatory Commission, China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission, Shanghai Stock Exchange, State Auditing Administration and some provincial governments and so on. SWUFE is thus known as "China's Financial Talent Pool" and the think-tank in western China.

SWUFE is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education for the construction of the national "211 Project" and "985 Project" advantage discipline innovation platform, and is among the first batch of national "Double First-Class" universities in China. As a top institution specializing in finance, economics, and business, SWUFE is renowned for its entrepreneurial character and unremitting endeavors to address the needs of the people and society through academics, research and alumni.

Financial Innovation

Financial Innovation, an SSCI-indexed open access journal published by Springer Nature and sponsored by Southwestern University of Finance and Economics.

Financial Innovation focuses on technology-driven financial transformation, including blockchain, artificial intelligence, big data, and generative AI (GenAI). It covers topics such as asset pricing, behavioral finance, fintech, and risk management, and particularly welcomes research with strong real-world relevance and international explanatory power.

The journal has achieved significant growth in impact, with a latest Impact Factor of 7.2, ranking first globally in the Social Sciences, Mathematical Methods category and among the top journals in finance. From an editorial perspective, it emphasizes novelty, methodological rigor, and practical relevance, while also addressing common submission issues and offering guidance on improving manuscript quality.
