Profile

Bing XU, Professor, graduated with a PhD in Economics from University of Georgia in 2010. She is a recipient of the Guanghua Distinguished Scholar Program for Young Distinguished Professors at Southwestern University of Finance and Economics and was selected for the Sichuan Tianfu Qingcheng Program's "Financial Elite" project. Her main research field is applied microeconomics, and her primary research methodology combines theoretical models with empirical analysis. Current research topics relate to educational competition, international migration, population development, and household finance. Her articles have been published in renowned domestic and international journals such as PNAS, Journal of Economics Behavior and Organization, Public Choice, Demographic Research, and Economic Research Journal. She has led three National Natural Science Foundation of China projects (including a Foreign Excellent Young Scientists Fund project) and several industry-funded projects.
