Mian HUANG held a PhD in Economics and is currently working as an Associate Professor and doctoral supervisor. He graduated from the Department of Economics at the University of Carlos III de Madrid, Spain in 2015, where he conducted research in econometrics under the guidance of his advisor, Jesus M. Carro. In 2016, he joined RIEM of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, where he works on empirical econometrics with a focus on issues related to urbanization, such as employment, migration, and left-behind children. He also teaches courses in Probability Theory and Advanced Econometrics to both undergraduate and graduate students. Mian HUANG received the sixth "My Favorite Teacher" award from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics.
